In addition to her work at the community level, she has forged strong partnerships with federal and state parole agencies to facilitate the successful reintegration of justice-involved individuals after their release.
Her collaboration with the Office of Refugees and Resettlement (ORR) has allowed her to oversee a critical case management department for their Home Study/Post Release Program. Armed with a Master’s Degree in Legal Studies, Mercedes is now pursuing a PhD in Organizational Leadership and Management. While her professional background is rooted in education, she brings a deep passion for giving back to those in need. Ann has extensive experience in fundraising, playing a vital role in organizing and securing funds for school initiatives, fostering collaboration among students, parents, and community members. As an avid tutor, she focuses on helping students strengthen their college preparation skills through personalized guidance and collaborative learning, honing leadership, mentoring, and communication skills she now applies to her work with Kingdom of Passion. Pursuing a degree in Mathematics at California State University, Los Angeles, and on track to earn her teaching credentials, Ann’s commitment to education and serving the community makes her an invaluable addition to the board, working to create lasting, positive change for those experiencing homelessness.

With over a decade of experience in administrative support and program coordination, Ashley has demonstrated her commitment to advocating for vulnerable populations through her expertise in streamlining operations, maintaining licenses, managing facility contracts, and enhancing participant care at WelbeHealth Coastline PACE. Her problem-solving skills, leadership in organizing team events, and focus on quality assurance have improved team morale and participant outcomes while addressing challenges like facility maintenance and parking. Previously at AltaMed Health Services, Ashley further developed her skills in licensing, site safety, and employee onboarding. Now, she brings her dedication to compassionate care, sustainable solutions, and collaborative leadership to Kingdom of Passion, where her efforts will be instrumental in advancing our mission and making a lasting impact on the homeless community.
